29 Female Speakers at Web Summit 2013

Female Speakers at Web Summit 2012

List of Female Speakers at Web Summit 2012

#ChangeTheRatio

Last year I went to Web Summit 2012 with a big card and all the names of the females who were speaking during the event. I go to meet approximately half of the women on the list and had some really interesting conversations.

I can’t make it to all of the Web Summit this year but I still thought it would be handy to have the list of female speakers at this years event in one place. There are some great names on the list and also a lot more that should be there.

When the Web Summit organisers put a shout out for suggested speakers I suggested Jane Boyd of 45 Conversations and she doesn’t appear as a speaker. I do wonder how many women were asked/invited to speak? Who did you recommend?

And it would have been great to see more of these women from this great list of Yet Another Talented 38  by John Breslin of NUI Galway.

Anyhow here’s the list of this years Web Summit female speakers in one place below and a Twitter list. Just to note there was 37 female speakers at last years Web Summit, this year there is 29, so down 8 this year!

Great to have this – I well remember that wonderful poster at Websummit 2012.
I’m pretty sure a woman from KPMG (sponsor) also spoke from Main Stage on Day One – wish I could remember her name…

Also it would be good to know what proportion of total attendees were women?
Keep up the pressure – the status quo is rotten.

      Thank Paul

      It’s Anne Scully from KPMG.

Yes I agree and have asked Web summit if they could let us know, still waiting though.

It was a fantastic event. I just caught the leaders lunch and the second days talks in the afternoon. I love the feel and energy around the whole event.
